This year the school council have already been very busy supporting our school and our local community. We have 8 new members, 2 from each of the KS1 classes. One member was chosen by the class teacher and the other was elected by their class and have already met a few times each term with Mrs Salmon our SMSC co-ordinator.
The school council have always been great at helping to raise money for different charities and this year has been no exception. With our Autumn Assemblies, we raised money for a national charity 'Diabetes UK' and a local charity 'Serpentine Community Garden.' For Children in Need the school council ran a 'Pudsy plate' competition where children all took home a paper plate and could decorate it or make something to put on it inspired by Pudsy Bear. We also had a dress up day in school where children could come dressed as anything beginning with the letter 'P'. It was a very fun way to raise money for a good cause.

To support classes with activities for Safer Internet Day in February and collect work for a display
To help do some fundraising for comic relief.
To collect information from a student survey about our SMILE CODE to help improve our anti bullying practises.
To provide feedback on stories used to promote equality and diversity across our school.
