Information / Governors

The Governing Board of Buxton Infant School consists of parents, members of staff and individuals connected to the local community. We are all volunteers with a common aim to improve outcomes for children.

The core functions of the governing board, with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement in the school, are:

  • Setting the school's strategic vision, ethos and strategy.

  • Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school

  • Ensuring financial health, probity and value for money.

  • Chair of Governors: Joanna Sherborne
